The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the referendum. Action is anticipated.

The referendum item on the agenda is a resolution asking the Board of Education to authorize placing a school facilities referendum before voters at the November election. If approved by the Board, the referendum would allow the community to decide whether to approve the proposed projects.

The proposed referendum addresses facility needs identified in the district's Long Range Facilities Plan. These projects include the Priority 1 and Priority 2 facility needs identified across all six district schools.

Over the coming weeks, the district will be providing additional detailed information about the proposed projects, anticipated costs, funding and the overall impact of the referendum. We will also host public information sessions and community presentations to give residents an opportunity to learn more, ask questions and make an informed decision before the November election.

We encourage all community members to review the information as it becomes available and participate in one of the upcoming information sessions.

El propósito de la reunión es debatir sobre el referéndum. Se prevé que se tomen medidas.

El punto del orden del día relativo al referéndum consiste en una resolución que solicita a la Junta de Educación autorizar la presentación de una consulta a los votantes —durante las elecciones de noviembre— sobre instalaciones escolares. Si la Junta aprueba la medida, el referéndum permitirá a la comunidad decidir si da su visto bueno a los proyectos propuestos.

La propuesta de referéndum aborda las necesidades de infraestructura identificadas en el Plan de Instalaciones a Largo Plazo del distrito. Dichos proyectos abarcan las necesidades de instalaciones clasificadas como de prioridad 1 y prioridad 2 en las seis escuelas del distrito.

En las próximas semanas, el distrito ofrecerá información detallada y adicional sobre los proyectos propuestos, los costos previstos, el financiamiento y el impacto general del referéndum. Asimismo, organizaremos sesiones informativas públicas y presentaciones para la comunidad, a fin de que los residentes puedan informarse, formular preguntas y tomar una decisión fundamentada antes de las elecciones de noviembre.
