FRSD Take Your Child to Work Day Reminder -- Our district acknowledges April 23 as Take Your Child to Work Day. To anticipate the number of children who will be out of school on April 23, please use each school's absence form to record your child's absence. Under the reason for the absence, select the option marked Other, then note that the absence is for Take Your Child to Work Day. Please submit your child's absence by April 20. Thank you for your cooperation.

School will be closed for Spring Break from Friday, April 3 through Friday, April 10. Students will return to school on Monday, April 13th as this is a make up day for the February 23 snow closing. It will be a B Day/Day 4.

Our students learned the importance of brushing and flossing properly to keep their Barley Sheaf smiles bright and healthy. Happy Read Across America Week! Today, Barley Sheaf students “dropped everything and read,” enjoying a schoolwide celebration of books and literacy — complete with a special surprise visit from the Barley Sheaf Bear! It was a wonderful way to kick off a week dedicated to the joy of reading.
The Barley Sheaf PTO, along with many wonderful teacher and staff volunteers, hosted our 3rd Annual Reading is a Dream Night.
Students came dressed in their pajamas and rotated through a variety of themed rooms, where they enjoyed listening to bedtime stories read by their teachers. It was a special evening filled with literacy, imagination, and community spirit!
