May 1 ~~ We proudly recognize and celebrate our dedicated and devoted principal, Mr. Lockett, on Principal Appreciation Day!
Mr. Lockett truly embodies the definition of service leadership. His unwavering care and commitment to the students and teachers of Copper Hill School are evident in everything he does. Whether he is supporting individual students, collaborating with staff, or leading whole school events, his love and passion for his work are always evident. And we would be remiss if we didn’t recognize his incredible acting and impersonation skills! He creates moments of pure joy that uplift our school community and remind us all of the importance of connection, laughter, and school spirit.
Mr. Lockett treats each day as an opportunity to make positive contributions to the lives of our students, and we couldn’t be more grateful for his leadership. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a passionate and devoted leader guiding our school each day.

FRSD Take Your Child to Work Day Reminder -- Our district acknowledges April 23 as Take Your Child to Work Day. To anticipate the number of children who will be out of school on April 23, please use each school's absence form to record your child's absence. Under the reason for the absence, select the option marked Other, then note that the absence is for Take Your Child to Work Day. Please submit your child's absence by April 20. Thank you for your cooperation.
Congratulations, again, to Rebecca Moeri for being named the Hunterdon County School Counselor of the Year! She was honored at an awards ceremony hosted by the New Jersey School Counselors Association on March 24. The award honors the professionals who devote their careers to serving as advocates – and often lifesavers – for the nation’s students. Candidates are selected for the Counselor of the County Award at their county-level school counselor associations. They are selected because of their ability to deliver an effective school counseling program which focuses on academic development, career counseling, and personal/social support. They further distinguish themselves by proving to be leaders of systemic change, advocates for students, and collaborative professionals who seek the success of the “whole” student in school and in life. School will be closed for Spring Break from Friday, April 3 through Friday, April 10. Students will return to school on Monday, April 13th as this is a make up day for the February 23 snow closing. It will be a B Day/Day 4.

FRSD art teachers found inspiration during their creative visit to Grounds for Sculpture, gathering fresh ideas to bring back to their classrooms.
Copper Hill School 4th grader Taylor Shamy is the recipient of this year's Hunterdon County Librarians Association's Enthusiastic Reader Award. Out of all 4th-grade students in Hunterdon County, Taylor was chosen to receive this special recognition. She will be celebrated at the Enthusiastic Reader Awards ceremony on May 20 at the Hunterdon County Library Headquarters.

Prosecutor Thomas read a book highlighting the journey of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She also shared insights about her role as a prosecutor and attorney.
