Kudos to the Copper Hill Cougars! 🐾
Copper Hill students recently participated in the “Cougars Cross the Country” event, and the results were incredible! Together, the Cougars completed an amazing 12,100 laps around the blacktop — totaling 1,728 miles! That’s the distance from Copper Hill all the way to Denver, Colorado! At the start of each class, students were given 12 minutes to run. Any student who completed 7 or more laps earned a pawprint with their name displayed on our wall of achievement. Students who reached another 7 laps in a future class earned a sticker to add to their pawprint, celebrating their continued effort and dedication. We are so proud of the Cougars for their energy, perseverance, and school spirit!

Dear Copper Hill Third and Fourth Grade Families,
Our third- and fourth-grade students are preparing for the upcoming state assessment, the NJSLA.
To help your child feel confident and ready, we kindly ask that you encourage a good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and ensure they bring operational headphones for testing.
As a reminder, in accordance with district policy, phones and smartwatches must be powered off and kept in students’ backpacks during testing.
Testing Schedule:
Tuesday, 5/12 – ELA (Reading)
Wednesday, 5/13 – ELA (Writing)
Thursday, 5/14 – Math

Our school nurses are an essential part of our learning community, providing expert care and support to our students and staff each day. On this School Nurse Appreciation Day, we thank them for their steadfast dedication and for keeping our students safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

Mr. Lockett truly embodies the definition of service leadership. His unwavering care and commitment to the students and teachers of Copper Hill School are evident in everything he does. Whether he is supporting individual students, collaborating with staff, or leading whole school events, his love and passion for his work are always evident. And we would be remiss if we didn’t recognize his incredible acting and impersonation skills! He creates moments of pure joy that uplift our school community and remind us all of the importance of connection, laughter, and school spirit.
Mr. Lockett treats each day as an opportunity to make positive contributions to the lives of our students, and we couldn’t be more grateful for his leadership. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a passionate and devoted leader guiding our school each day.
