Helpful Reminders about School Meals from Maschio's for the 2025-2026 school year:
Food Allergies and Special Dietary Need Requests:
For parents interested in a meal modification for any medical diagnosis (e.g. allergies, Celiac, diabetes, lactose intolerance, etc.), we require documentation from the child’s healthcare provider. Click for the English and Spanish packets. Documentation may be submitted one of the following ways:
1. Completing it online: www.bit.ly/safemenus.
2. Emailing the forms to nutrition@maschiofood.com with the subject line “SAFE MENU”.
3. Faxing forms to the nutrition department at (908) 888-2335.
Safe menus automatically discontinue at the end of each school year. Waivers or consent forms are no longer needed for children not proceeding with a safe menu. POS Systems (e.g. Genesis) - Allergy alerts should not be the sole safety measure for students with food allergies as there may be hidden allergens in some menu items. We encourage students with food allergies to be provided with a safe menu.
You can access your Nutrislice menus on the FRSD App, the Nutrislice App or on a web browser: lookup.nutrislice.com. In addition, please take advantage of our Harvest Market Fruit & Vegetable Carb Counts on every menu. This is a guide to all cold fruits and vegetables (including juices) offered and their corresponding grams of carbohydrates. For grams of carbohydrates for schools selling a la carte snacks please view our Smart Snack Guide.
Check out the Maschio's website for more details and information.
